Chris Hadfield is a Canadian astronaut, with a very high-profile twitter account. He posts there beautiful photos everyday, and I (plus half a million followers) enjoy it very much.
Today, Chris posted the following picture:
and I find it quite similar to the famous Mandelbrot set:
Recall that the so-called Mandelbrot set is a fractal whose shape consists of smaller instances of the same shape. Now, look at the above photo taken by commander Hadfield; how many Mandelbrot shapes did you count?
